Tribal Land Acknowledgement

The AppleSox Baseball Club would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and the Yakama Nation. Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium sits on the ancestral homelands of the šnp̍əšqʷáw̉šəxʷ (p'squosa or Wenatchi) people. Please join us in expressing our deepest respect and gratitude for all the generations of Indigenous Peoples for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.

In recognizing these tribal communities, we honor their legacy, their lives, their descendants, and their living culture. We offer this land acknowledgment as the first step to amplifying Indigenous voices and recognizing the harm done to them as a people. We stand as an ally to recognize their connection to the land and their rights to practice their culture on these sacred lands. We encourage all to learn about the Indigenous Peoples of the place you now call home.
