AppleSox Announce 2015 Schedule

WENATCHEE, Wash. – Collegiate summer baseball will return to the Wenatchee Valley Thursday June 4, the Wenatchee AppleSox announced Monday, as they unveiled their 58-game schedule.

The 2015 schedule features two non-league series that precede the West Coast League slate of games.

Once again, the AppleSox will welcome the San Francisco Seals to Paul Thomas Sr. Field for Opening Night. The game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.

After two games with the Seals, the AppleSox will face a new non-league foe when the Spokane Expos come to town for a two-game series, to complete non-league play.

The AppleSox square off in the WCL East Division with the Walla Walla Sweets, Kelowna Falcons, and Yakima Valley Pippins.

After an exciting race to the end of the 2014 season, the WCL has placed many of the divisional matchups at the end of the season, to mimic the 2014 schedule model. Once again, the AppleSox will meet the Yakima Valley Pippins in the final series of the 2015 regular season.

Wenatchee will play three series against each of the teams in the WCL East. The Pippins will visit Wenatchee six times this season, while Walla Walla and Kelowna are both scheduled to play just one series at Paul Thomas Sr. Field.

In non-divisional action, the AppleSox will travel to face the WCL West (Bellingham, Victoria, Kitsap, Cowlitz), and the WCL South (Corvallis, Bend, Medford, Klamath Falls) will drive north to take on the hometown nine.

A series with the defending WCL Champion Bellingham Bells will be played June 19-21 at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham, Wash.

In another exciting East-South matchup, Fireworks Night will return Friday July 3, when Klamath Falls visits Wenatchee.

The WCL All Star Break will be July 19-20, and the All Star Game will be played at renovated Joe Martin Field.
