Stuka Hits For First Cycle in AppleSox History
/Luc Stuka singled, doubled, tripled and homered to give the Wenatchee AppleSox a 21-1 win over the Highline Bears in a game called after six-and-a-half innings on Friday night at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
Skylar Hales homered in his first plate appearance this summer and Jackson Van De Brake collected as the AppleSox put together their most impressive offensive display of the 2021 season. The AppleSox collected six extra-base hits and 15 hits all in all to pick up the big victory.
Stuka started the big night with an RBI double in the first, a home run to lead off the third, an infield single in the fourth and then a triple later in the fourth inning.
The AppleSox only used two pitchers on the mound in the shortened game. Trey Miller tossed five innings, only allowing one run in that time. Martin Haswell pitched the final two innings and did not allow any runs.
The AppleSox wrap up their homestand with Fireworks Night on Saturday against the Highline Bears at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are limited but still available at applesox.com/tickets.
