Wenatchee Probable Pitcher: Matthew DelVecchio becomes the first AppleSox starter to make his third start of the summer as he gets the ball for the rubber match... He gave up a pair of runs on two solo shots over 5.1 innings last Thursday to earn the win at Port Angeles... The right-hander from Edmonds struck out six, walked one and only allowed one hit... DelVecchio pitched for the Bells in 2022, recording a 3.37 ERA with nine strikeouts, 10 hits and four walks over 13.1 innings in three games (two starts)...

Bellingham Probable Pitcher: Will Franklin also makes his third start of the summer for Bellingham as he enters 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA, nine strikeouts, four hit sand two walks over nine innings... Franklin last pitched on Friday vs. Ridgefield, earning the win with one run given up on two hits, one walk and six strikeouts over five innings... He went 2-1 with a 0.40 ERA, 16 strikeouts, 15 hits and seven walks over 22.2 innings in 10 games (two starts) last summer with the Bells...

Last Night: The AppleSox recorded their first shutout of the season with a 2-0 win against the Bells... It was their first time shutting out Bellingham since July 14, 2021 at Joe Martin Field... Garrett Ahern struck out six over four scoreless innings in his first start of the summer... Stephen Hammergren got his third save of the summer with a scoreless final three innings on the bump...

RBI Machine: Kade Benavidez drove in his team-leading 13th run of the summer with an RBI double in the third inning last night... He has the second-most RBI in the West Coast League after Corvallis infielder Kevin Takeuchi (16)... Evan Johnson holds the AppleSox’ single-season RBI record with 54 in 2017 and Benavidez would need to average an RBI a game for the rest of the summer to pass him...

Runs At A Premium: The AppleSox and the Bells have combined to score nine runs through the first two games of this series... Wenatchee has not scored more than five runs in a game against Bellingham since June 11, 2021 (20 games)... The Bells pitching staff has recorded one of the top four ERA’s in the WCL in each season since 2010...

Coming For the Record: With four strikeouts against Victoria on Sunday Quincy Vassar moved into sole possession of the second-most strikeouts in AppleSox history with 93 over the last three summers... Evan Canfield has 14 through his first two games to move into eighth place in team history (84)... Both of them are chasing Hunter Boyd, who struck out 110 hitters in the 2017-18 seasons...

Transactions: The AppleSox will look a little different from the team that returned from a six-game road trip on Sunday...
